What is the difference in using this patch as opposed to the following lines in your SMTP rules file? 

# Others with rDNS (Reverse DNS Records)
=:allow

# All others, without rDNS
:allow,SMTP550DISCONNECT="1",550GREETING="Sorry, your IP needs Reverse-DNS to connect here. See http://www.k18.ch/policies/spam/"
