Fedora Directory Server Schema

Thank you for publishing this. I've been meaning to try this out for awhile now. How successful have your results been with qmail-ldap running on FDS? Just a few issues with the migration, but otherwise business as usual? Any observed performance boost? --Marc 21:29, 17 Aug 2005 (CEST)


No problem Marc! I haven't moved our main servers to my new qmail-ldap setup yet. Right now they are still running on regular old qmail (not that there's anything wrong with it). In my initial setup, the only problems I ran into were those mentioned on the Schema page I posted. I really like FDS though. It has been a huge performance boost compared to our old OpenLDAP servers, plus they are about 10 times easier to maintain. I'm planning on migrating a couple of our domains into the new setup soon, so I'll let you know how it goes! --Mondodrew
